Sony will host a press conference in China next week, with China Hero Project titles likely to appear. The platform holder confirmed that the online showcase will debut on 29th April at 11AM CST, which is 8PM PT (28th April) and 4AM BST. You’ll be able to watch the broadcast live on various platforms, including Weibo, Bilibili, and TikTok – although obviously it’ll be aimed at the market in Asia.
We wouldn’t expect too many new announcements to come out of this, as it’ll likely feature footage for games that are already announced in the West. However, the China Hero Project social media did post about the event, and asked its followers to “guess which game [we’ll] give you can update on this year”. Titles like Lost Soul Aside are part of the China Hero Project, which supports domestic developers.
All eyes will be on promising action RPG Black Myth: Wukong, and whether Sony has picked the project up. This release went viral late last year, and would be a huge addition to the China Hero Project’s portfolio. Is there anything in particular you’d like to see during the event? Practice your Chinese in the comments section below.

Doesn't matter.
Tencent acquires China, the country.
If the games from China are like any of the merch and technology off wish from China then I expect the game to be broke day 1
It's been years since Lost Soul Aside was announced. I really need to know what's the latest update for this game.
Black Myth Wukong looks super promising. I really hope that game makes an appearance here.
Black myth and lost soul.sony needs to pick those up.who knows can be a first party studio.word up son
What you mean by “whether Sony has picked the project up”? Was there a rumour or something?
@Majk_SVK There's no rumour, but I'd be shocked if they hadn't been in contact with the team. When Lost Soul Aside went viral, they were involved very quickly.
We'll see.
I hope Sony can make a success of the market in China. It’s huge, so a few crappy but profitable mobile games over there would probably pay for the rest of us to have far more real games, good subscription deals etc.
Enjoyed Xuan-Yuan Sword VII and Gujian 3 on Steam. Looking forward to Aside. Excited to see what could be brewing over there.
Can't wait for anno mutationem previews update, I played the demo on steam and man, that game is good, it remind me of ps1 xenogears 😃
And I hope the monkey king game (black myth wukong) is confirmed for ps5.
@UltimateOtaku91 you get what you pay for no matter where it's made
@Agramonte was looking into Xuan-Yuan Sword VII but wasn't sure. How's the combat feel since to me that's the most important part.
I about time they will show something about China Hero Project. I was expecting we could have gotten more about their games in ChinaJoy 2020 but it sadly didn't happen. Not to mention we haven't heard much about Lost Soul Aside since early last year or probably since 2019. Also, Pervader VR has yet to show anything new since 2017. I wouldn't be surprised if the game was probably put on hold for PSVR2. Regardless, I'm interested on what they'll show. From the second batch, I'm already excited for Anno and F.I.S.T., but the rest like Convalleria and Evotinction (what's with chinese games and their dumb titles lol) leave a lot to be desired, so I'm hoping they'll show more this time around.
Black Myth pleeeeeeeeeeease
@UltimateOtaku91 - Yeah because we all know those western devs release games in a fully working state all the time, right?
@PCPS4XB Combat is ok, it does not do anything new (blocking in place is a bit annoying) - It is not Automata. It does the job and feels fast. I think it being super linear is what pushes some away more.
Do you have any PC? there is a demo on Steam. It has good amount of combat mid way. It is UE4 (I think it is) so it should scale down to just about any hardware.
I played in on GeforceNow (I checked, you cant play the demo on it) But mostly because it is a story driven game. It is $15 on CDKeys for PC.
@get2sammyb.... If Sony secures Black Myth then they will break the internet on the 29 th an Xbox will be in real trouble and all Zenimax Studios will be under pressure to produce a matching blockbuster which may lead to the Xbox cheque book being open again.
If it's the inverse with Xbox securing Black Myth then GAMEPASS will start to look like something realty good to get.
But the likely scenario is that it will be avaible on GP and we will have to pay $70 for it with neither company able to secure GameScience, they look like the next big think to come out of Asia.
In another topic, it will be a real shock if Epic and Sony actually made the UE5 showcase title a fully fledge game..........
I'd like to hear something new about F.I.S.T.
@SoulsBourne128 Hopefully, they'll show Lost Soul Aside. Had an eye on it for a long time. Same thing with Boundary as well, which I think is coming this year. Kinda forgot about Pervader. Wouldn't be surprised if it got cancelled if they don't announced it next week. Or worse, they'll make a base game exclusive, leaving PSVR players disappointed and betrayed.
@Revengercm LMAO I wouldn’t be surprised.
Imagine if Sony by some miracle managed to strike a deal and get Black Myth: Wukong Exclusive or Timed Exclusive for PS5? Black Myth: Wukong could be for PS5 what Bloodborne was for PS4.
Lost soul aside’s weibo was updated first time in many years... some hope there
I'm definitely looking forward to more coverage on both Lost Soul Aside and Black Myth: Wukong.
Hopefully we will get release dates for both at this event.
@PCPS4XB Speaking of... Coming west to PS4.
